Eagles that Pray

About the Parish and this Weblog

An eagle is the ancient symbol for the 4th Gospel, written by the Apostle John.  Thus, many congregations named in honor of this saint use the eagle as a very accessible logo, a symbol readily identifiable.

A simple search of the internet will reveal why an eagle.  You might also check out the parish website for an article on the same subject, http://www.ForMinistry.com/uscaecusa93274sj2.

The blog itself is to lend a helpful tool to the parish for communication, especially of testimonies, witnessing, answers to prayers, requests for prayer, reflections, and more.  Photos are welcome.

In order to have something posted (rather than a comment that you might make on someone else’s post), just send what you have to stjohnstulare@yahoo.com and in the subject box type “For Eagles that Pray”.  If it is of an immediate nature, such as an emergency prayer request, please send the request as above, but also call the church office at 686-8048, and contact the Rector directly.

There is still a need for two or three others that might help with moderating and posting and editing.   If that might be you, then leave a message.   It should be said that all of the posts may or may not reflect any offical position taken by the Rector and the Vestry.
